Preventive Care

There are many forms of preventive dentistry, such as daily brushing and dental cleanings. To maintain optimal oral health, the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends visits to the dentist at regular intervals determined by a dentist. These practices are designed to ensure that teeth are clean, strong, and white. Children should be taught proper oral hygiene at an early age.
We recommend seeing us every 6 months for an examination and cleaning to prevent any problems. If a problem does occur, this allows us to catch it early before it becomes a major problem.
Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dentistry is the prevention and treatment of diseases of the teeth in order to restore or bring them back to their best health. Restorative dentistry also includes the repair or replacement of damaged or defective teeth.
At Preferred Dental Care, we offer tooth-colored restorations when a cavity needs to be filled. No more ugly silver fillings.
Crowns can be made with newer materials that do not have metal in them anymore that can result in a more natural appearance. It can prevent that dreaded gray line near the gums seen in the older crowns with metal in them.
Oral surgery
Sometimes due to circumstances, a tooth may not be able to be saved. Dr. Tsang is trained to remove the tooth which can be the source of infection and pain for tooth aches.
Endodontics ``Root Canals``
If you have a tooth ache, the tooth can be treated with a root canal. This saves the tooth so that it does not need to be extracted.
Dr. Tsang can help get you out of pain and save the tooth.
Dentures
Dentures are custom-made replacements for missing teeth and can be taken out and put back into your mouth. While dentures take some getting used to, and will never feel exactly the same as natural teeth, today’s dentures are natural looking and more comfortable than ever.
Replacing missing teeth will help to improve your appearance and smile. Without support from the denture, facial muscles sag, making a person look older. Dentures can help you eat and speak more comfortably.
